Police identify Northeast Side man as Sunday homicide victim

Police have identified a 27-year-old Northeast Side man as the victim in a deadly shooting Sunday.

Josie Kamara was found shot inside a home on the 3500 block of Greenwich Street, in North Linden, around 4:20 a.m. Sunday. 

Kamara was taken to a nearby hospital, but he died at 8:03 a.m. Sunday.

Police said there was evidence that a party was taking place at the Greenwich Street home when an argument started and an unknown person began discharging a firearm inside the apartment. 

There have not been any suspects identified. 

Kamara's death is the 31st homicide in Columbus in 2021.
