Vote totals from round two

While there were some close contests in the first round of voting, which narrowed the original field down to this past week's eight, the closest margin of victory this week was 77 votes.

The Pizza House, a 63-year-old institution near Clintonville on the North Side, bested 50-year-old Rotolo's Italian Pizzeria of Grandview Heights, 622 to 545. Both serve Columbus-style square-cut pies.

The top vote-getter in the second round was Terita's Pizza, the 65-year-old carryout in North Linden. Terita's, another Columbus-style pizza-maker, defeated Brooklyn-style relative newcomer Paulie Gee's, which has been in the Short North since 2016. The vote was 841 to 301.

The top vote-getter of round one, Tommy's Pizza in Upper Arlington, advanced to the third round over JT's Pizza & Pub from the Northwest Side in another matchup of Columbus-style pizza-makers. The original Tommy's opened in 1952, while JT's has been around since 2007. The vote was 752 to 302.

Adriatico's New York-Style Pizza, in the University District for 38 years, topped The Original Josie's Pizza of Franklinton in the other vote, 591 to 467. Josie's serves Columbus-style pizza.

On to round three!

Round three voting starts with this post and ends Friday at noon. This week's votes will determine the two finalists for our Best Pizza in Columbus bragging rights. Voting next week will determine the winner, which will be announced April 8.
